This week I met up with Calvin, Tal, Jeff and Rachel at King's Hardware; a great bar in Ballard with a big sheltered patio and two awesome skeeball courts. I looked up the menu before leaving work to plan my attack then spent the drive salivating over the simple yet sophisticated burger menu. With advice from my friends and the waiter I went with the Billy Burger (goat cheese, roasted garlic and red peppers). When it arrived, I realized the menu did not do this masterpiece justice. On top of the perfectly cooked patty were a ton of big roasted garlic cloves, yummy marinated red peppers and a heaping mound of goat cheese. The bread was lightly toasted and held together throughout all six bites. This chef d'oeuvre burger is a guarantee for anyone who loves goat cheese.
